Even though the forecast mentioned rain for the first day of NYFW, I still had hope for sunshine and definitely did not expect that nasty on and off down fall…ALL DAY.
But because I came to werk it didn’t matter what the weather was cause there were shows to attend!
I decided to dress the total opposite of the gloomy weather and went for this amazing vintage romper. Solange blaring in the background…my mood was all of a sudden uplifted and ready to take on Day 1.
“Nature calls”….After three seasons of attending Leanne Marshall shows I am still impressed and inspired by her work. Caught up with the designer backstage where she shared the inspiration for this collection. Check it out on Periscope: vanavain.
And then desert was served at Desigual! It was like a burst of the sweetest treat with a bomb after taste leaving you wanting for more. Like so so good. DIY was very much alive and represented here. Denim head wraps and DIY jewel embellished knee highs. More coming on this collection!

Ended my night at the Hotel On Rivington for the Joseph Singh presentation. Bold palettes of Hot pink, Royal Blue and hints of metallic adorned the models. All pieces that could serve individually but most importantly all versatile. I’m going to get my hands on better pics of that white vest jacket in the back….it was fit to perfection and had piano like pleats to one side. like crazy good!
This is all for Day 1. check back later for Day 2 recap. In the mean time keep up with me on IG and the below platforms. Chow!
