Top: Sage, Buddah for my work space and my gifted journal.

Happy Monday!

If you follow me on Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook then you already know about my recent obsession with these two books. Since last year I went back to one of my favorite, but neglected hobbies of reading. I have quite a few others, but right now these two books are my favorites.  So good that I looked forward to sneaking in an additional chapter anytime I could. I.e while waiting for my children during parent pick up, doctors visit…..pretty much any free time.I believe we are drawn to books that’s aligned with our lifestyle, vision or where we want to be.

Year Of Yes By Shonda Rhimes

Shonda Rhimes definitely got my attention with her consistent jaw dropping TV show Scandal, but I didn’t know what to expect from “Year Of Yes”.  Shonda has a unique  style of writing. One that’s witty, raw and transparent while still getting the point across. I laughed, cried and did a few fist pumps.

You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero

IMG_2880I first came across this book via Myleik’s  Instagram page months ago, but came across it again last month at my local Barnes & Noble when  the yellow caught my attention again.  Flipped to a page and had an “Aha” moment that sealed the deal. I literally was sad when the book was done. Self help books can become so redundant, but Jens, experiences and outlooks were refreshing and relateable.  There is no promise of some magic wand, just realistic no bull advice. Love love love.

Fashion reads are cool, but I love feeding my brain with a good ole book. Plus my concentration has been better since reading.  Straight Win!

Have you read any of these books?  Let me know and feel free to suggest any new reads.
