Nothing gets the point across like a monochromatic look, especially in the Fall. Its the perfect season to wear your favorite hues and the luxury of layering without our faces melting. I wore this last month for #Bostoncoffeetalk when the weather was just starting to cool down.2015_09_07_332

“Be an adult and prepare your clothes” is what I told myself the night before. So I thought “I want to wear this Men’s shirt” and maybe with “that black and white sequins jacket and my distressed denim”.  Of course I woke up and the outfit wasn’t appealing anymore.  I thought “Vanessa its coffee”  then I thought “Who are you fooling, you’re Vanessa and there is no such thing as too much for any occasion.  Especially if it comes naturally.

Suddenly a whole lot of red came to mind. While shooting the promo for the #Bostoncoffeetalk(Next one this weekend Saturday) I came across this Kate Spade Fall 2015 spread with all of this red  and plaid in it. And there was the inspiration for this cherry/burgundy collabo. Oh and Converses are always an exception for head to toe monochromatic looks…they just are.

So after a video and wearing this #baringshoulders(Instagram)  three different times, I think I will retire it and maybe move on to some knits.  You didn’t think I would stop exposing shoulders all the way did you?! Good!
