Do Denim- Do good

A good pair of denim is like Christmas each time you put them on. Lets not even mention wash day when they are a little more snug and hug the derriere nice and firm.  Yup that’s a good pair. They are great with pretty blouses and  pumps when you want a casual and edgy spin. These Levis were a life saver a few weeks ago. I had this beautiful Blouse, but cringed at the thought of a skirt or nice slacks.  I wanted to simplify it as much as possible and leave the attention to the bow detail.   My favorite place to shop for jeans are at the local thrift shops. The multiple rows of denim wash is both exciting and intimidating.  Finding the right fit requires time and patience. Blocking out two hours is so worth it…trust me. Levis are the best vintage denim  brand hands down. The fit is amazing and so is the quality.  I believe in investing in our wardrobe, but that it’s a smart investment.  Buying a pair of …

Foliage

Foliage. That’s it. I mean look at these pants. No fancy title as these speak for themselves. Nothing says “Fall is here!” more than these.  As quick as I ran to them…I took a few steps back as if examining a masterpiece. I thought to myself  “hmm I love prints, but do I want to look I walked out of AC Moore with a Thanksgiving table cloth?!” After the exaggeration, I thought about the beautiful prints, crop tops and 70’s shades that these baby’s can be styled with. If it doesn’t excite you…don’t do it. Wore this to last weekends #Bostoncoffeetalk (post coming soon) .   Blouse: Vintage Pants: HM buy here (went a size bigger and got a 10 …

I wore this last month for #Bostoncoffeetalk when the weather was just starting to cool down. “Be an adult and prepare your clothes” is what I told myself the night before. So I thought “I want to wear this Men’s shirt” and maybe with “that black and white sequins jacket and my distressed denim”.  Of course I woke up and the outfit wasn’t appealing anymore.  I thought “Vanessa its coffee”  then I thought “Who are you fooling, you’re Vanessa and there is no such thing as too much for any occasion.  Especially if it comes naturally. Suddenly a whole lot of red came to mind. While shooting the promo for the #Bostoncoffeetalk(Next one this weekend Saturday) I came across this Kate Spade Fall 2015 spread with all of this red  and plaid in it. And there was the inspiration for this cherry/burgundy collabo. Oh and …
